Climate change is one of the greatest challenges for human beings in the 21st century. The Paris Agreement proposed that all countries should work together to keep global temperature rise this century well below 2 degrees C, and even more aggressively, to limit it within 1.5 degrees C. Chinese government has integrated climate change into national economic and social strategic plans, granting green development as a cornerstone of high-quality economic growth. In September 2020, China announced the new climate pledges to peak CO2 emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.

Through rigorous research, we strive to support China’s energy transition, climate-resilient development, and long-term decarbonization. We provide insights and recommendations to decision-makers in government, private, academic, and non-profit sectors.
