International Cooperation and Communication
By taking part in major conferences and related activities in the field of climate change at home and abroad, we build unique communication channels and platforms to promote exchanges and co-operation between China and other countries and regions in green and low-carbon development.
We are committed to promoting exchanges and co-operation between China and other countries and regions on green and low-carbon development. Through participation in major conferences and events in the field of climate change at home and abroad, such as the United Nations Climate Change Conference, Climate Weeks, Carbon Neutral Expo, etc., we have facilitated the sharing of knowledge and exchange of experiences among countries and regions. We have also established unique communication channels and platforms to promote international consensus building, including the annual ‘US-China High-Level Think Tank Symposium on Energy and Climate Change’, which aims to promote exchanges and communication between the governments and civil society of China and the US in the fields of energy and climate change, and the '2025 Climate Transition Coalition', which aims to help China and other countries to build consensus in the field of energy and climate change. The '2025 Climate Transition Coalition' aims to promote cooperation between China and other developing countries in addressing the challenges of climate change.
The 'China-US High-end Think Tank Symposium on Energy and Climate Change' is a 'Track II' dialogue in the field of energy and climate change jointly organized by research institutes of China and the United States since 2014, aiming at building a dialogue channel between high-end think tanks of China and the United States, analyzing the situation and policies of energy transformation and climate change response of the two countries, and helping China and other developing countries to address the challenges of climate change together. WRI is the lead institution on the U.S. side.
