This Practice Note focuses on Zhejiang Province, China’s first and only “demonstration zone for common prosperity.” It explores the possibility of local governments integrating their low-carbon transitions into the long-term strategy of achieving “common prosperity,” thereby supporting people, climate, and nature and aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly goals 1, 10, and 13.
This study is a joint effort by the Institute of Common Prosperity at Hangzhou City University and World Resources Institute.
